DIVA StyleCON of the Week~ Jackie O.

When it comes to class and style, I can't think of anyone who did it better than, the former First Lady, Jacqueline Lee (Bouvier) Kennedy Onassis.  She was a symbol of fashion for women worldwide. From wearing garments from French-born American fashion designer and close family friend, Oleg Cassini, who created a lot of her signature pieces to wearing astounding garbs from legendary designers Chanel, Givenchy, and Dior.

Jackie was the epitome of fashion, style and glamour and she served it gracefully. She was a trendsetter paving the way for styles like her boxy Chanel suits, wide-leg pantsuits, large lapel jackets, gypsy skirts, beltless, white jeans with a black turtleneck pulled down over the hips. She accessorized herself with Halston pillbox hats, layered pearls, gloves, silk Hermès head scarves, and large dark sunglasses. With the way she executed these looks, its definitely not hard to see why she was named to the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame in 1965.

We were all mesmerized by Jackie's enchanting style that she became a lifestyle. It is definitely refreshing to know that we still continue to honor her legacy in the World of Fashion. Especially now, when we live in a world where we are brainwashed to believe that wearing less is more. Mrs. Jackie O. has always gave it to us and we were always begging for more. Her everlasting style has been a huge inspiration in my life that I share with fashion and I will always be forever grateful.
