A new Funny Face in Town!

Yes stylistas!!! Audrey Hepburns 20 year old grand-daughter, Emma Kathleen Hepburn Ferrer is featured in and on the cover of the September's subscription issue of Harper's Bazaar magazine. Emma is Audrey Hepburn's first grandchild. I guess all young woman would love to be the descendant of Hollywood Royalty but the majority of us just inherit vintage clothes and jewelry from their grandparents. 

Emma has certainly inherited Audrey's graceful looks with her high cheekbones and long, dark hair. Even though no one can replace the timeless style icon, the art student has no desires to follow in her grandmother's footsteps and become an actress but, has truly portrayed the essence of grace and elegance thru her images.

This is Emma's first photo shoot ever and it was shot by 23 year-old photographer, Micheal Avedon, who just so happens to be the grandson of legendary photographer, Richard Avedon. Audrey was his muse for many years and inspired the charcter Dick Avery, played by Fred Astaire in the infamous classic movie, Funny Face. He always photographed Audrey and shot several images of her for the same magazine years ago.

Good-bye Robin!

Robin McLaurin Williams (July 21, 1951 – August 11, 2014) was an actor, stand-up comedian, film producer, and screenwriter. Ironically someone one who continuously made us laugh suffered from depression. It shows us that we all battle with being imperfect and sometimes we don't win the fight. RIP to one of the most funniest men in the world. Thank you for always keeping a smile on our faces. You will truly be missed.

She has definitely become untouchable in the fashion industry! Nobody has yet to do it better than her and It should be illegal for one person to have this much fierce power!!! 

Named as the World's Wildest Style Icon, Rihanna took it to a whole other level and brought out her animalistic "A" game and SLAYED September's issue of W Magazine. Saturated in tribal accessories and make up and laced with designer furs, this concept of Night of the Wolves was excellently executed by Photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and styled by Style Director Edward Enninful.

Love Letter #6 ~ The Struggle

Dear Fashion,

Here we are again where our relationship is being tested. I'm not sure how much I can take of this but, there is something about you that I can't give up on. I don't know if it's the fact that you are all that I know and all that I want to know or I must love to suffer. Taking time away from you helped me to see that there is so much we can do together, so much we can be but, sometimes it feels one-sided. I thought by taking a different approach with you would help us to grow. Or, maybe I thought it would just be an easier way to deal with you.

I have to admit that I do feel little urges now and again that are brewing inside of me to sketch again and to sew again and it kind of feels good. I'm beginning to miss that part of our relationship. I try not to watch what others do but I see how others think they know you so well that they can call themselves a fashion designer by stitching two pieces of spandex together or think that they are a stylist by throwing fabric on so called models and they continue to mock you and humiliate you but yet you keep shutting me out. The one who has loved you from a little girl. The one was professional trained. The one who eats, sleeps, and breathes you.

My good friend told me the other day that, maybe our mission is to only help others...and that kind of made me sad. Not that I dont love helping others but, I just wish that for once it was me. I just want to publicly share my love for you. I want to finally be able to see that all my hard work for the past 17 years wasn't for nothing. I just want to love you with no complications.  I'm still going keep fighting for us to make it and try not get too overwhelmed while doing so until you officially say it's over.
