Love Letter # 5- HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!

Dear Fashion,

Today actually marks the 1 year Anniversary of the start of my blog and the day I decided to rekindle my relationship you. Within the past year we have been through a lot of obstacles that the journey became difficult and overwhelming for me to blog regularly. Especially just dealing with the those who are envious of our love for one another trying to break us up but, we have been through much worst and there will always be ones who try to covet your happiness because they feel they just can. The main point to focus on is that I am much happier than I ever been. I am glad that I've took this route and decided to stick it out. I'm not giving up on us. I know in time it will become a lot easier and more rewarding. There is always room for growth and I cant wait to see where this takes us. Until then,  HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!

NYFW Emerge! Spring 2013 Fashion Show

On Tuesday September 11th, stylist friend Zabeth Chang  and I had the opportunity to be guests during New York Fashion Week's Emerge! Spring 2013 Fashion Show, at the Broad Street Ballroom. Emerge! Fashion Runway Show is one of the top emerging designer fashion collective showcases during New York Fashion week.  The top emerging designers from around the world showcase their newest collections each season during this much anticipated event. Out of 100 applicants 6 were chosen to present there collection. I got to see the amazing collections from designers, Benny Martin- Catou Designs, Jane by Design Actress, India de Beaufort- Ballyhoo, Arefeh Mansori- Arefeh Fahion, Franklin Rowe- Franklin Rowe International, Taneasha Prunty- Gidi Designs, and Natasha Lazarovic- Temna Fialka. On top of seeing the wonderful collections and seeing a lot of familiar faces of people I have already met along this journey in the industry, I had the chance to meet a lot of wonderful new people including the Creator & Producer of Emerge! Dionne Williams, Project Runway Designer, Terri Stevens, one of the youngest runway models, Diva Devanna and last but not least Dwight Eubanks from Real Housewives of Atlanta. Everyone was so genuinely sweet. Thank you Jerry Jordan Brown, it was a night to remember!

It's Been a Long Time...

"It's been a long time since I left you"...I just wanted to say HEEEYYYYY!!!!  and apologize for staying away so long... I have been in a serious funk and I was working my way through it. The thought of posting while being stressed out was overwhelming me but I realized that I started this blog to help me relieve that built up stress and to also allow you to go through this journey with me. I apologize for shutting you out. It was encouraging to know that I was missed by my followers. I have been told many times that people are encouraged and inspired through my story and that is encouraging to me. I had resorted to posting on FB due to convenience but I have decided to face the challenge of blogging and I'm back. We have a lot to talk about and a lot of catching up to do, so stay tuned!!!

MY Top Favorite DIVALICIOUS Oscar 2012 Red Carpet Looks and the Hottest Couple of the Night!!!

I must admit that I usually don't watch the Oscars for various reasons. But like any other award show, I do like to follow who wears what on the red carpet. I have to say Winter White was my favorite color last night walking on the Oscars 2012 red carpet. My #1 pick was Gwyneth Paltrow in a STUNNING Tom Ford Dress with tailored cape...Even down to the simplicity of the jewelry. She demonstrated that LESS is MORE!!!!

Jennifer Lopez is BAAAAAACCCCCKKKKK!!!! Rocking the tastefully done sexy double take dresses!!! Twins and a divorce has nothing on her. But sexy young boyfriends keep it fresh...lol. I felt like it an tasteful updated version of her late 1990's Grammy's Versace dress but MUCH MUCH BETTER!!!!

Shailene looked very nice in this 1970's vintage look. Even though she was born 2 decades later, this 20 year old made a very nice choice and impressed me.

 Rooney's sister Kate represented the family well even though, she posed a little awkwardly on the red carpet. But she did do the Spring 2012 Jack Guisso dress justice. I was a beautiful color and the details were divine.

Now for the icing on the sexual chocolate cake was Pharell Williams looking sexy as can be...Mmmm!!! He looked very debonair in his 3 piece satin trimmed tux with Velvet bow tie. A nice finishing touch on this gift.

And for the HOTTEST FASHIONABLE COUPLE Award goes to....MISS PIGGY & KERMIT THE FROG!!!

Miss Piggy wore a dress by Zac Posen. Accessorized with Christian Louboutin shoes and Fred Leighton jewelry, which including a 70-carat amethyst and diamond ring from the ‘40s, a 55-carat diamond and platinum swirl necklace and a matching 40-carat bracelet, both from the ‘50s. Her hairstylist Kim Kimble, who also works with Beyonce and Kerry Washington, finished off her blowout with a 10-carat diamond clip. Kermit the Frog looked handsome in his Brooks Brothers tuxedo.
